Mont Blanc Tunnel: webcam, waiting time and entrance weather
Waiting time, direction of traffic and closures: official ATMB information
ATMB, the operator of the French side, publishes the waiting time at the toll, restrictions and scheduled closures. Its content may not be reproduced on this site; the page opens in a new tab. A webcam shows neither the waiting time nor a closure.
Operators’ images, refreshed at their own pace; they are not a continuous video stream. Click to enlarge; check the capture time on the image or at the source.

Weather-model estimates at the stated altitude of each point, not measurements. Forecast snowfall is not the depth of snow on the ground. Source: Open-Meteo, updated every hour.
The views show the approach to the tunnel on the Chamonix side. Waiting times, the direction of traffic and closures are published by the operator: this page does not show them.
In short. The Mont Blanc Tunnel links Chamonix with Courmayeur over 11.6 km (source: ATMB). Savoie Snow has no traffic data: the waiting time at the toll, the direction of traffic and closures are published on ATMB’s official page. The views and weather on this page describe the approach to the tunnel, not the traffic.
Understanding the conditions
What the views show
This page brings together 2 views: Tunnel du Mont-Blanc and Chamonix-Mont-Blanc-Rampe du Tunnel du Mont-Blanc, vue orientée vers Chamonix. They let you see the approach to the tunnel and the sky above Chamonix, not the queue at the toll.
Closures and works
The tunnel is regularly closed at night or for maintenance. These closures are announced by ATMB on its traffic page; the schedule should be read at that source, for the date of your journey.
The forecast at the top of the page is the Open-Meteo model’s at about 1,270 m, the approximate altitude of the French portal. It helps you anticipate snow on the access road (RN205) but does not tell you whether the tunnel is open.
Your questions
Before you go
Where can I see the waiting time at the Mont Blanc Tunnel?
On ATMB’s traffic information page, which publishes the waiting time at the French toll with its update time. Savoie Snow does not reproduce this information.
Is the Mont Blanc Tunnel open?

Does the webcam show the queue?
No. The views on this page show the approach to the tunnel and the sky; they are not traffic information.
How long is the Mont Blanc Tunnel?
11.6 km according to ATMB.
Sources and method
Text of this page last revised on . This date says nothing about how recent the images or data are: the webcams are supplied by the credited operators and their timestamp shows when the image was taken; model forecasts and official reports are separate pieces of information, each with its own time. The forecast applies to the point and altitude shown in the weather block.
