Weather-model estimates at the stated altitude of each point, not measurements. Forecast snowfall is not the depth of snow on the ground. Source: Open-Meteo, updated every hour.
Le Revard overlooks Aix-les-Bains. No open observation post gives the snow depth there: this page shows the webcams and the forecast at the altitude of the plateau, and points to the ski area’s official report.
In short. This page keeps three pieces of information apart: the snow observed on the ground (measured at a Météo-France observation post, with its date), the snow forecast over seven days (the total snowfall predicted by a model) and whether the slopes are open (the ski area’s own report, to be checked at the source). The webcams show what the place looks like; they do not measure the snow.
Understanding the conditions
Snow on the ground, forecast snowfall and open slopes: three different things
Snow on the ground is a depth measured at an observation post, at its altitude and on its date. Forecast snow is a total snowfall calculated by a model: it says nothing about the snow already lying, about settling or about melting. Whether slopes and lifts are open is decided by the operator and published in its report. These three figures cannot be added together.
Why is there no snow depth?
The Météo-France snow and weather observation network has no post at Le Revard (as checked on 2 October 2026), and the ski area’s report cannot be reproduced without permission. Savoie Snow does not derive a depth from the forecast, nor replace it with one from another massif.
A plateau above Aix-les-Bains
The Revard plateau overlooks Aix-les-Bains and the Lac du Bourget. Conditions there differ from those in the town: compare with the Aix-les-Bains page.
This page brings together 4 views: Grand Lac - Foyer du ski de fond de Crolles - Revard, Grand Lac - Revard, Grand Lac - Revard Info Neige and Revard - Col des Ébats. They come from Skaping. An image shows what a place looks like at one moment: it does not measure the snow and does not confirm that anything is open.
No open, reusable source publishes the snow depth at Le Revard. Rather than invent a figure, the page says so and points to the ski area’s report.
Is the forecast snowfall the same as the snow depth in Le Revard?
No. The forecast total is snow still to fall, whereas the depth on the ground also depends on settling, melting, wind and terrain.
Where can I check whether the slopes in Le Revard are open?
In the ski area’s official report, linked at the top of the page. This page does not reproduce the state of the slopes and does not infer it from the images.
Are the Le Revard webcams live?
The views are images refreshed by their operators, not a continuous video stream. Check the timestamp on the image.
Sources and method
Text of this page last revised on . This date says nothing about how recent the images or data are: the webcams are supplied by the credited operators and their timestamp shows when the image was taken; model forecasts and official reports are separate pieces of information, each with its own time. The forecast applies to the point and altitude shown in the weather block.
Snow on the ground in Le Revard: no observation post connected
No post of Météo-France’s snow-observation network is installed in Le Revard (checked on 2 October 2026), and the ski area’s reports cannot be reproduced without permission. Savoie Snow therefore shows no snow depth here and does not derive one from the forecast.
