In Les Saisies, the snow on the ground, the forecast snowfall and whether the slopes are open are three separate pieces of information. This page shows the latest measurement from the Météo-France post in Les Saisies, followed by the webcams and the resort forecast.

In short. This page keeps three pieces of information apart: the snow observed on the ground (measured at a Météo-France observation post, with its date), the snow forecast over seven days (the total snowfall predicted by a model) and whether the slopes are open (the ski area’s own report, to be checked at the source). The webcams show what the place looks like; they do not measure the snow.

Understanding the conditions

Snow on the ground, forecast snowfall and open slopes: three different things

Snow on the ground is a depth measured at an observation post, at its altitude and on its date. Forecast snow is a total snowfall calculated by a model: it says nothing about the snow already lying, about settling or about melting. Whether slopes and lifts are open is decided by the operator and published in its report. These three figures cannot be added together.

The Les Saisies post: a measurement at 1,636 m

The Météo-France post stands at 1,636 m, near the resort centre (1,650 m) and below Mont Bisanne (1,941 m). The resort is about 31 km from Albertville: for the weather in the valley, see the Albertville page.

Les Saisies and the Beaufortain

The snow in Les Saisies does not describe the whole Beaufortain: Arêches-Beaufort and the Beaufort valley have their own aspect and altitude. The weather page for the massif compares several sectors.

This page brings together 19 views: Centre station (1,650 m), Espace Diamant, Les Saisies Hauteluce · 1100 m and Les Saisies Espace Erwin · 1650 m, and 15 more views. They come from Windy.com Webcams, Trinum · webcam-hd.com and Skaping. An image shows what a place looks like at one moment: it does not measure the snow and does not confirm that anything is open.

Your questions

Before you go

How much snow is there in Les Saisies?

On 26 March 2026, the Météo-France post “Les Saisies” (1,636 m) measured 144 cm of snow on the ground and 19 cm of fresh snow. This observation is old: it does not describe the current snow conditions. It is a measurement at the post’s altitude, not on every slope.

Do Les Saisies and Albertville get the same snow?

No. The resort is at 1,650 m and the Albertville valley at 355 m (the site’s weather station). Snow settles at altitude long before it does on the valley floor.

Is the forecast snowfall the same as the snow depth in Les Saisies?

No. The forecast total is snow still to fall, whereas the depth on the ground also depends on settling, melting, wind and terrain.

Where can I check whether the slopes in Les Saisies are open?

In the ski area’s official report, linked at the top of the page. This page does not reproduce the state of the slopes and does not infer it from the images.

Are the Les Saisies webcams live?

The views are images refreshed by their operators, not a continuous video stream. Check the timestamp on the image.

Sources and method

This date says nothing about how recent the images or data are: the webcams are supplied by the credited operators and their timestamp shows when the image was taken; model forecasts and official reports are separate pieces of information, each with its own time.
